Admission free at a huge festival - how does that even work?
Stall money, subventions and sponsoring add up to the majority of the budget. To cover the rest of it, donations from the audience are very welcome!
To collect these, nice, young girls with collector boxes go through the audience. For a small donation (starting at 1 Euro), you'll get a sticker. Donations of 10 Euros and higher will get you a CD as a thank-you gift (while stocks last).

The Open Air in Eutin is one of the best reputated festivals of the German and European blues scene. About 15,000 visitors and a selected program with well known artists from Europe with a priority to countries around the Baltic Sea and North America speak for themselves.
Located at the market square of Eutin, the festival is a most welcome and well known part of the cultural life of the whole region. When the concerts on the market square are over, the "Theater am Schloß", just 2 minutes on feet away, is the place to be for club concerts and sessions - sometimes until sunrise.
A unique fact is the free admission for everybody on the market square and in the club! Another unique fact is that artists from Baltic countries are heavily featured – that's special even for Germany and Europe.
